 About Us

About Saint Anne's

As a community of faith, the members of St. Anne's Episcopal Church are called to Welcome All People.
We are committed to following our Baptismal vows as we seek to serve Christ in all persons,
loving our neighbors as ourselves, and respecting the dignity of every human being.

About the Episcopal Church

The Episcopal Church offers the best of both worlds of Christian faiths - Catholic and Protestant.

It is the oldest church in North Carolina, descended from the Church of England
and established here by the early English Colonists.

The Episcopal Church is a blend of Catholic tradition and Protestant reform.
We worship using the Book of Common Prayer, which is closely related to Roman Catholic worship.
While we do have bishops, we do not have a Pope.
We have priests that can be male or female and who are permitted to marry.

We pride ourselves on allowing a diversity of opinions in our Church.
Our worship and belief rest on The Three Foundations, Scripture, Tradition, and Reason.
